Description
Drew this last night after doing all those sketches of the reaper and the girl. Then finished it today after deconstructing our massive entertainment center that's been in the living room for like... 20 years. XD
These are my OCs, Kien and Rago. Which some of you may recognize from that Adventure Time style picture I did the other day. After doing that I decided that I wanted to do a little picture of them how they're normally drawn.
Because I'm actually quite fond of these two and I don't give them enough love artwise. But like some of my other OCs, Kien's story is one that's more of a written thing rather than an artistic thing. He's quite an old character of mine though, and I think he was one of the first characters I ever designed where I wrote a physical description of him before ever drawing a picture of him (which made it a lot easier to draw him actually... even if I tinker around with his design a lot still XD)
And for the record, Rago's not a giant wolf. He's not any animal in particular, but more like a dog/cat hybrid in his design. But he's not designed specifically to look like any particular kind of breed, though he gets little notes from both an irish wolfhound and an english mastiff.
And now it's time for fun facts about these two! Because learning about characters is fun!
1: Rago can actually speak any language, but he only speaks around people who already know that he can. Otherwise he sounds like a regular old dog, barking and growling and such. XD
2: Kien is technically in charge of Rago, but Rago treats him more like a puppy than an owner most of the time.
3. The tattoos on Kien's hands are modeled after a sun and a crescent moon, representing the two major deities of his world.
4. Both these character have exactly the same eye color. And there's a reason for that. XD
5. Kien ranges from age 11-14 depending on the point in his story.
6. The fact that Kien is blonde is unusual for where he comes from.
7. Rago is really old. Like reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyy old.
8. Kien is not an orphan, but I guess you could say he's adopted... a couple times. XD
