Luna

I felt like doodling my dog, Luna! I can’t remember if I mentioned it here or not but I adopted a Catahoula Leopard Dog back before Christmas. And I named her after one of my favorite kid’s books- Stellaluna. :> And my sis-in-law calls her Luna Lovegood, which makes her full name “Stellaluna Lovegood.” Yeah, we're Harry Potter nerds.

The shelter thought she may have been a Catahoula/Weimeraner mix but we’re not actually sure. But she’s got more of a limber build than most Catahoula. Also, as an interesting story, the people at the shelter all referred to her as “The Graveyard Dog” because the lady that reported her to the shelter had found her in a graveyard lying on a tombstone. And it took them a long time to get her out of the graveyard because they couldn’t coax her off the one particular tombstone.  I guess she was starving when they found her and it turned out that they day we went to the shelter was the very first day that she was available for adoption as they’d gotten her back up to a better weight.  And she is the sweetest thing and super lovey. Though she is super energetic and I have to keep an eye on her because when she gets bored she like to try and sneak into the kitchen and get into the trash can. Haha!
