Sketch page of my OC Gin. I did that environment with him in it the other day and I wanted to do some sketches of him. I feel like lately I've only doodled adult Gin and I'd been missing little kid regular version Gin. So now you get a little page of him. XD
And for those of you not familiar with this character of mine, allow me to explain. (Since I've noticed recently, that a lot of my more recent followers have gotten confused as to who/what a lot of my characters are. Or if you're already familiar with Gin, then you can just skip this part if you want.
Gin is the immortal spirit of a Shishi inhabiting the body of a deceased child. So that top picture there is what Gin actually is, but the only actual physical body Gin has is his original statue. Basically, Gin got bored of being a gate statue, so he hopped into a human body when the opportunity came along and set off to learn about the world and just do whatever the heck he wants. Since Gin's human body is technically dead, he doesn't age (adult Gin is just a for fun thing XD) and he doesn't get sick. But that also means his body doesn't heal naturally when injured. Gin can heal most small, and some moderate injuries to his body, but he has to be careful since he doesn't have the power to restore any major damage or injuries. That being said, Gin can change his body at will to look more like his true form. Or, vice versa, he can also change himself back to a full human if he wants to, though he only really does that when in situations where people would react very negatively to his non-human features. That top left face is just about as far as Gin can change to his true form though without causing permanent damage to his body. Though he can change further, and could fully turn to his actual Shishi form if he desired, anything more than that would be irreversible, and he would have to acquire a new body to appear human again. Similarly, if Gin were ever to transform himself fully to the body of a Shishi, he would only be able to maintain it for a brief time before his body deteriorated and Gin became nothing more than an ethereal being once more.
Gin is extreeeeeeemely old, but after having spent a fair amount of time in the form of a child, he has adopted a very child-like personality simply because it suits him. Since Gin spent his whole life as a statue, he is not very knowledgeable about the world. As such, he is curious about anything and everything, and his whole goal in life is to simply learn as much as he can. That being said, Gin gets very bored when he has spent too long in one place or in one situation as once he feels he's learned all he can he likes to move on to somewhere new. He is very friendly and good-natured, but doesn't really ever consider people close, personal friends and will leave them when he feels the urge to move on.
And that's all I'm gonna say for now because I've already talked your ear off... or typed your eyes out I guess. lol! (Eesh, that sounds kind of gross. XD)
