I drew Jack partially because he was my favorite, and partially because I really wanted to paint that crazy lavender skin tone that he has. That was my favorite part of his design, along with the fact that he was barefoot. XD I thought the choice of skin tone lent itself really well to the back story they gave for him. Which I won't spoil for those of you haven't seen it. Though, honestly I actually wish Jack's design had been a bit more exaggerated to fit the story he has. I felt like his design was a tad plain when compared to the other guardians. Not bad by any means, I just personally would have liked a little more stylization towards Jack's actual ability and history. Like, I wish he had looked just a tiny bit more ethereal, you know?

I actually liked his design. The whole movie was beautiful and such eye candy, but I feel like Jack's supposed to stand out from the rest of the Guardians and be more on the children's' level. Like a little more could be done with him, but overall it was such a gorgeous movie.
