Guys, guys, guys... omg guys. by Turtle-Arts Guys, guys, guys... omg guys. by Turtle-Arts
It's a thing now. The Sky Herder process book is finished, and I ordered my first three copies today for display at my bfa show. After about a week straight of staying up till 3 AM and having to basically learn how to use InDesign from scratch, I present to you the ordering page of the final book. XD

And here is a screenie so you can enjoy it with me... and so you can see what the cover looks like. It's a textless cover, and it's actually a wrap around cover as well, but obviously preview only show the front there. XD But I am so proud of myself because I painted the entire cover today in like, three hours with my gimpy injured hand that barely lets me hold my tablet pen. >_< (P.s it's super awkward to type right now too)

Anyhoo, the book is exactly 100 pages long and essentially reads like a big sketch journal, with images of character, creature, prop, and environment art for The Sky Herder. It cost me 45$ a copy, so I'll probably need to find another place to print copies to sell later, since I know a lot of you guys talked about wanting one. But if I have to pay almost 50 bucks a book (plus shipping on top), then you'd have to pay even more for a copy, and that just seems too expensive to me. So if any of you know of a better place to get that done, let me know!

P.S. if it's hard to tell (because of that little blue preview tab there), the cover is Mier silhouetted against Rashka's eye. Because there's really no other way to show the two character's scale to each other. And for the record, Rashka has very small eyes for the size of his actual head. XD Yeah, all the characters look rather different now to the images I think most of you associate with this project. But that's because I haven't posted any of the updated vignettes because... I'm not going to. lol! But Rashka looks especially different now. He a lot bigger than he was in the old art, but this is always more the size he was in my head. I only made him smaller for a while because I though my teacher didn't like the BIG version. But then when I showed him the old design he was like "Huh, I thought he'd be bigger." So Rashka's back to his original, mountain size again. :>

Anyways, I'm super excited about this! Now I just have to finish the rest of the stuff. *sigh* It never ends. >_<
