Dirty Pawsby *Turtle-Arts

The dragonfly it ran away,
But it came back with a story to say.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.
The birds, they got help from below,
From dirty paws and the creatures of snow.

And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes.
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines.
But she and her furry friends
Took down the queen bee and her men.
And that's how the story goes,
The story of the beast with those four dirty paws.

Yes, so I was recently introduced to this song (like a week ago) and with lyrics like that it was just begging to have art done for it. >_< Which upon looking, I noticed a few other people had done art inspired by this song as well, so apparently it wasn't just me that thought that. XD I tried to get the whole "story" into the picture (hence the format I ended up with) and I think it works pretty well.

It was a little tricky deciding what kind of animal to make Dirty Paws though. My first thought was a cat, but then I wanted to do an animal that was more native to the woods, but not something "typical" like a wolf or whatever. I thought "What kind of animal is small enough to fight bees but still be a "beast" to them?" A rabbit of course. XD

Hardest part of this picture? All the bees... Nothing but bees, bees, bees. >_< Drawing and coloring so many bees kind of sucked. Plus I was creeping myself out looking up reference of what bee's faces look like. >_>;

But overall I'm pretty happy with how this came out. :> And I hopeyou enjoy it! Oh! And thanks to everyone who dropped by to watch when I was streaming this last night! (also, as I've seen now, the background color for DA is regrettably not the best color for this picture to be viewed against. :/ It looks nicer against a dark background like what I have in my PS)
